Delhi Reagan Ranch is approximately 5000 acres of open range located east of Big
Lake, Texas (70 miles west of San Angelo and 85 miles east of Midland/Odessa).
The ranch is situated two miles south of the acclaimed Rocker B Ranch, with its
well-known whitetail genetics and management programs. The landscape
varies from relatively flat mesquite thickets to rolling, hilly terrain
scattered with cedar, mesquite, and other desert vegetation.
We
are in the fourth year of continuous feeding of supplemental protein. A
blend of 20% Record Rack is fed from 1200 lb. on-demand feeders, appropriately
located throughout the ranch. Food plots are also located in strategic
locations within the property.
There are elevated tower blinds, along with timer-controlled feeders for
panoramic views of deer and turkey hunting. Under our current management
program, we are striving to maintain optimum ratios of bucks to does and allow
the harvesting of only mature and management bucks. The quail population
has been overwhelming the previous two seasons, with abundant coveys of
predominately Scaled quail (blue), as well as Bobwhites. |
